Air Quality Improved, But Smog Still Persists

Where you live can have a big impact on the quality of your health. The latest “State of the Air” report from the American Lung Association provides details on which places in the United States have the best air quality and which locations are in need of significant improvement, according to a recent article posted to the CBS News website.

Although there has been a trend in overall air quality improvement in this country, there are still smog problems in many major cities.

For example, while 50 cities in the U.S. had no unhealthy ranges in their ozone, more than 40 percent of people are living in counties that have levels of pollution deemed unhealthy by the government.
